Running the race as a mother

All my life I wanted children, and now I have three. It has allowed me to see things more clearly. I analyze things longer and deeper than before. I have learned so much. Made so many hard decisions. Made so many promises to myself and them. Promises to end generational curses, to lift them into greatness, to show them how to not just wash the dishes, but to turn to God when all hell breaks loose. I am having to figure it out as I go like everyone else, but I have the Bible and the Holy Spirit to direct me.

My daughters WILL walk before God and this earth with confidence, boldness, and an understanding of the power of simply being born. We have so much power and ability just by breathing. People birthed into the poorest, sickest, and most God forsaken situations have risen out of hell and into success and righteousness. There are no excuses just decisions. With the assistance of the Holy Spirit my daughters will understand this. By the grace of God I will live this out before them. I will lift them up into the goodness of God. I will lift them up into the education they need. I will teach them discernment. While also teaching them to be at peace when mistakes are made. No mistake they could ever make could change God and the love He has for them.

I will pray without ceasing, and will rest in Him who knows me. Here are some of the scriptures I meditate on daily so that they pour out into my parenting.

James 1:19 … let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it..

Colossians 3:21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.

Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Micah 6:8 … what does the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee when no man pursues: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Psalms 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knows right well.

Psalm 119:37 Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.

Psalms 121:1-3 … My help comes from the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth. He will not let your foot be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.

Hebrews 12:1-2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
